Electrochemical oxidation of borohydride-ion on nickel electrode: a study by the method of irspectroscopy

The study of the anodic oxidation of borohydride-ion BH− 4 on catalytically active nickel electrode by methods of potentiostatic inclusion, galvanostatically inclusion, cyclic voltammetry and infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transformation. The composition of some intermediates of the process of electrochemical oxidation of BH− 4 and the mechanism of decomposition of borohydride, which includes the following basic stages: BH− 4 → BH3(OH)− → BH2(OH)− 2 → BH(OH)− 3 → B(OH)− 4 , is determined.

Electrochemical behavior of carbon-fabric electrode materials with titanium and silver coatings

The electrochemical behavior of carbon-fabric electrodes in the pristine state and after modification with titanium (magnetron sputtering), silver (chemical precipitation) and sequential titanium/silver coatings was studied. The effect of metallic coatings on the conductivity, permittivity, and dielectric losses of model symmetric supercapacitors–fabricated using carbon-fabric electrodes, both with and without the coatings– was investigated.

Comparative cyclic voltammetry analysis of all-solid-state mock-up cells based on potassium polytitanate

The work presents a comparative cyclic voltammetry analysis of all-solid-state mock-up cells based on potassium polytitanate. Most measurements were carried out at 25°C. Potassium polytitanate sample with 10 wt.% of phosphotungstic acid was studied at 0°C, followed by the Arrhenius estimate of its characteristics at 25°C. The study focuses on comparing integral capacitive characteristics, response stability at different scan rates and charge storage mechanisms determined using the Dunn and Trasatti methods.

Approaches to the investigation of lithium tran- sport in intercalation electrodes based on thin film structures and multiphase composites

Approaches to the theoretical description of electrochemically stimulated processes of transport in solid lithium intercalation compounds were presented; results of experimental verification of the developed approaches and found ion transport parameters in the thin film and composite electrodes based on a number of known and proven lithium-accumulating compounds: LixC6, LixSn, LixWO3, LixTiO2, LiFePO4, Li3V2(PO4)3 were given.

Cyclic voltammetry of electrodes based on LiMn2O4 with additive conducting polymer in water and organic electrolytes

Electrochemical properties of the electrode based on lithium-manganese spinel (LiMn2O4), which were produced with conducting and binder additives using a conductive polymer poly-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene/polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) with carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) were investigated by cyclic voltammetry in aqueous and organic solutions of lithium perchlorate. Values of specific capacitance of the cathode material and their dependence on potential sweep rate were obtained.

The Study of Electrochemical Properties of Lithium Titanate Based Electrodes with Conducting Polymer Binder

The study of new anode material based on Li4Ti5O12 and conducting polymer binder have been performed with use of cyclic voltammetry method. It was shown, that modified composition of anode material has superior properties in comparison with standard composition with PVDF in term of higher specific capacity and kinetic of charge transfer properties. Using of PEDOT:PSS/CMC binder allow to increase of specific capacity up to 14%.
