Assessment of the possibility of using lead‑acid batteries in a continuous undercharge and high‑rate charge mode

Lead-acid batteries exploitation possibility in pfrtial state of charge mode is demonstrated. Influence of this mode on chfracteristics of lead-acid batteries is studied.

Solid potassium‑conducting electrolytes in a mixed aluminoferrite system K0.90 Ba0.05Al1-xFexO2

New potassium-conducting solid electrolytes in the mixed alumoferrite system К0.90Ва0.05Al1-xFexO2 were synthesized and studied. The effect of increasing conductivity with simultaneous presence of aluminium and ferrum cations has been established. The maximum conductivity in the system reaches very high values: ~ 6°10-2 S*cm-1 at 400°C, ~ 2°10-1 S*cmт-1 at 700°C. Possible nature of obtained results is discussed.

Dielectric properties of magnesium‑substituted lithium‑iron spinel based on temperature‑dependent impedance studies

Cite measuring result spectrum impedance of polycrystalline samples Mg-replace lithium-iron spinel structure Lig 5Fe) 4М2 1 Ол in the frequency range 10-2—105 Hz in temperature range 295—723K. Displayed, that conduct temperature dependence real part of dielectric conductivity from temperature affirm about process activation electron transition between ions of iron varied valence and accompany reorientation dipole in variable field. At high temperatures (7 >573K) make apparent dominating contribution of electro conductivity on direct current.

Electrochemical reduction of oxygen in an acidic electrolyte using a gold nanoparticle/carbon support system

The synthesis of catalysts 20 Аи / С with different degree of dispersion. These systems were investigated for activity in the oxygen electroreduction reaction with methods of the cyclic voltammograms and polarization curves. The increase of rate and depth of process (the number of electrons increases from 2 to 3.5) in the transition from compact to gold nanoparticles.

The effect of temperature on the solubility of the ternary systems NABO2‑NaOH‑H2O and KBO2‑KOH‑H2O.

A study of the solubility in the ternary systems NaOH-NaBO,-H,O and КОН-КВО,-Н.О is of special interest from a fundamental and practical point of view. These systems represent the discharged products of the borohydrides fuel cells. The performance of such mixtures is determined by the solubility of their components. Therefore, in the present work the solubility in the ternary systems was studied by means of isothermal saturation within 10+50°C.

A Device for Charging of a Sulfated Lead-Acid Battery by Pulse Asymmetric Current

The capabilities of our designed charging device for charging of lead-acid batteries with sulfated plates by pulse asymmetric current were tested experimentally. The principle of the considered charging mode is based on alternation of short high-amplitude pulses of the charging current with discharging current pulses with their sequence frequency being multiple of the alternating current frequency in Russia (50 Hz).

On the use of ferrous oxalate FeC2O4∙2H2O for the synthesis of electrode material LiFePO4

The review summarizes literature data on the thermal decomposition of ferrous oxalate with the formation of Fe, FeO, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, Fe3C, and other products. Historical evolution of views on the ways and mechanisms of oxalate thermolysis is traced. The current state of the art is analyzed from the perspective of FeC2O4·2H2O compound for the synthesis of lithium iron phosphate LiFePO4, which is a promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries.

On determination of the mechanism of the processes proceeding at syntesis of electrode material LiFePO4

The methods for the synthesis of lithium iron phosphate LiFePO4 with olivine structure have been developed. New materials based on lithium iron phosphate, including doped with metals, the «LiFePO4 + carbon» composites obtained by pyrolysis of organic compounds have been synthesized. Crystallographic characterization of the synthesized materials was carried out; their electrochemical characteristics of the extraction and intercalation of lithium have been identified.

Influence of pressure on structural characteristics of separation materials and oxygen ionization rate in the electrode block of the lead-acid accumulator

In this article was studied pressure influence in the electrode block of the model of the lead-acid accumulator on the most important physical properties (a specific surface, pore size distribution, compression properties, speed of capillary lifting of electrolyte) of absorbent glass mat separators of the trademarks «Hollingsworth» (USA) and "Bernard Dumas"(France) and on efficiency of an oxygen cycle. It is shown that the highest compression properties separators with a high specific surface (7-10 m2 /g) possess.

The effect of discharge current upon battery capacity

Cycling tests of lithium-ion batteries in wide temperature and load ranges have been carried out. The existence of certain threshold discharge load corresponding abrupt decrease of discharge capacity was found.
