Influence of polymer composition of positive electrodes to cycling of Li-S accumulators

Effect of polymer binder nature of positive electrodes on the Li-S batteries cycling was studied. It is shown that the sulfur electrodes with «active» hinders have better performance than sulfur electrodes with «inert» binder. The application of «active» binders allows improving the charge-discharge performance of sulfur electrodes and increasing the cycling life of lithium-sulfur batteries.

Definition of the full internal resistance of plumbum accumulators

The possibility of accounting of asymmetrical alternating current of different frequency total internal resistance of standby lead-acid cell is described.

Methods of battery formation of lead-acid starter batteries

A research of parameters of battery formation process and characteristics of lead-acid starter batteries is carried out. It is determined that use of water cooling of batteries and pulse current of higher density reduces duration of battery formation up to 2.5 times and decreases power consumption and gassing from the batteries. Electrical characteristics of formed batteries have been improved, their lifetime and vibration resistance have leinained without degradation.

Influence of anodic processing of aluminium in the phosphate solutions at the kinetics of cathodic incorporation of lanthanum and lithium from the aprotic organic solutions

Influence of preliminary anodic processing of aluminium in the aqueous phosphate solutions at wide range of concentrations and of potential sweep rates at the kinetics of cathodic incorporation of lanthanum and lithium from the solutions of their salts at the aprotic organic solvents was studied. Dependence of quantity of incorporated lithium at the La-Alp electrode with phosphoric flint from the time of phosphate processing was detennined.

Lithium intercalation into titanium dioxide: investigation by electrochemical and photoelectrochemical methods

The electrochemical intercalation of lithium from propylene carbonate solutions into thin film Ti02 electrodes prepared by the heat treatment of Ti support was studied. Photoelectrochemical characteristics of film electrodes were investigated at potentials E corresponding to active insertion/extraction of lithium (1.0 +) and inert regions. Equivalent circuit which satisfactorily models impedance spectrum of TiO2- and LixTiO2-electrodes in investigated frequency range from 103 to 10'2 Hz is suggested.

Nickel-hydrogen rechargeable electrochemical systemsю Part 1

The analytical review of modern references on nickel-hydrogen electrochemical systems has been presented. The paper acquaints a curt information about history of their development. The attempt of systematization for a modem knowledge about performances of various hydrogen storage metal alloy families in terms of their potential and practical employment in nickel metal-hydride alkaline batteries is made. Upon a closer view of the literary data the main emphasis has been made on factors, which preferably afTect on kinetics of discussed processes.

The electrolyte density in the lead acid battery VRLA electrodes , pores

The possibility of definition of electrolyte density in lead acid battery VRLA active mass pores is considered by calculation method with use of experimental data.

Phase equilibria in the electrolyte systems LiPF6-diethyl carbonate- propylene carbonate

The full solubility diagram of the ternary system lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) – diethyl carbonate (DEC) – propylene carbonate (PC) was studied by means of the section method. A three-phase equilibrium of peritectic nature was found to exist, lithium hexafluorophosphate and LiPF6 DEC crystal solvate being its solid phases. The compositions of the crystallizing solid phases obtained graphically (the section method) were confirmed with the aid of various techniques of physicochemical analysis.
